Sandra Spínola was born in Madrid and there she began to draw with pencil, pastel, counted, watercolor, charcoal but it was only a few years ago, in 2007, when she had the opportunity to learn oil painting at Arauco, 'Fundación de Arte y Autores Contemporáneos', one of the most prestigious academies in Madrid. Since then she discovered the versatility that oil gave, so many textures, shades, colors, without losing her great fondness for drawing.
The themes that Sandra chooses are part of her life, places where she has been, memories, dreams or illusions that she would like to share. In the case of still lifes, she chooses objects that are subtle, expressive, strong or extremely delicate, but that with them she can convey a feeling, a value or a passion. 'I like to look at the paintings and discover in each brushstroke the sensations that those images transmitted to me, captured on the canvases'.
When he takes portraits, he spends as much time as possible with the person, analyzing how he moves, expresses, and what qualities he has ..., things that he then reflects in the painting.
He defines himself as a coherent, upright and empathetic person thanks to the education he has received both in a school-university and family way; he spent twelve years at the Mater Salvatoris college from which he drew a great deal of moral qualities from him; he after he did his studies in Computer Engineering at the American University of Mississippi. He usually sets goals, which he achieves with effort, dedication and perseverance.
